Jessica Schaffer, MS, LAT, ATC, NASM-CPT, CES, PCES

I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective exercise specialist, wife, and mom of 2. I have a passion for working with pregnant and postpartum women after having my first child. I believe that building a strong foundation is key for women to get through pregnancy, recover postpartum, and get back to the exercise or movement they love while preventing injury.

I am a CrossFit athlete and while I did CrossFit throughout my entire first pregnancy, I struggled to modify some of my workouts in a way that felt challenging enough for the types of workouts I was used to. After having my first child, I struggled to get back to my normal CrossFit workouts. I was having low back pain and feeling pressure in my pelvic floor and when I pushed myself it just didn't feel right.

This inspired me to learn more about pregnancy and postpartum fitness because I wanted to help others that were struggling with this. After I applied everything I was learning to my own workouts, I was able to get back to workout close to what normal was for me. My second pregnancy was so much easier! My workouts felt better and my recovery after delivery was much easier, quicker, and more comfortable.

My mission is to help women safely workout during pregnancy and recover postpartum to return to their normal activity without pain or dysfunction.
